If you fancy something a little bit special for your next getaway, why not consider a holiday in Italy? This magnificent destination is full of wonder and just happens to be one of our favorite places in the world! Its ancient history is perfectly re-told through the streets, museums and monuments of Rome, once the seat of the powerful Roman Empire, which is brimming with crumbling ruins and architectural remains dating back over two thousand years. From mist-shrouded lakes and majestic mountains to historic hilltop towns and spectacular beaches, Italy appeals to all kinds of travelers who are seeking an escape of sublime proportions!

Whether you're after family holidays abroad for a bit of fun in the sun in the Italian Riviera, or you fancy a more romantic getaway in a plush coastal resort backed by dramatic rugged peaks such as the Amalfi Coast, Italy promises to deliver unforgettable Mediterranean pleasures. Perhaps a journey to the golden sands of Maremma in Tuscany, or the beautiful isle of Sicily! If you've never thought of Italy as a beach destination, it's time you do!

If budget is high on your priority list, a trip to Italy doesn't have to break the bank. Bargain Italy holidays are available—it's just a matter of knowing where to look. You can start by looking for late deals and get a feel for the prices by searching for holidays departing within the next few weeks. Remember though that the time of year can be an important factor—traveling outside of school holidays and peak summer season can be a great money-saving tactic. Similarly, if you are looking for a winter getaway or end of summer trip, the prices around the coast may be significantly cheaper, but this is when the ski flights start taking over, so watch out for soaring prices if you're planning a winter break near the mountains.

The truth is that Italy is a fantastic holiday destination at any time of year. So what will it be—summer days on the golden coast, a voyage of discovery through ancient Rome, or winter fun on the slopes?

  3. for sure we can't talk about 1 Italy but rather "many Italies";)
funny enough though, if you come to Turin, you'll simply experience the authentic essence of 'Italianness'. Plus, it is about 2h driving from the French Riviera, making it only 1h driving to the Italian side and 40min driving to the Alps.
As for the food, suffice it to say that Slow Food was born here, Piedmont (Turin's region)is the real Italian Wine Country producing the largest number of red DOCG and DOC wines. Many renown Italian products are made here: NUTELLA guys!! yes!! and Ferrero Rocher they are all from Piedmont!
Lavazza, Martini&Rossi, Asti Spumante not to mention risotto!

What else is there to tell you?
Italian mass national TV, cinema, fashion and sports were all born here!

Financially speaking as it is still pretty much off the touristy beaten tracks it is much cheaper ;)
    What are you waiting for??
